• | Caries: The most common dental restoration is caries, commonly known to most patients as cavities. This means that the enamel of a tooth has decay that we need to remove and then fill with a filling material either the traditional silver amalgam or tooth colored composite resin. |
• | Root Canal Therapy: When the decay has extended below the enamel of your tooth and reached the pulp, it can be a very painful problem. Your pulp can not heal on its own. We will need to remove the infected material, fill the space with with a medicated rubber and then strengthen the now weakened tooth with the placement of a dental crown. |
• | Fracture: A fractured tooth can be a very painful problem. We can restore a broken tooth with a crown or with composite bonding depending on the severity. |
• | Gum Disease: Gum disease is a common dental disorder that affects more than half of the adult population. Knowing the signs and how to care for your gums is very important to your dental health. Through knowing the signs and measuring your gum pockets, we can identify the extent of the problem and restore your gums, restoring their healthy and strength. |
• | Dental Crowns: A dental crown is a cap for your tooth that provides strength and adds to the longevity of your tooth. There are various materials available, all with pros and cons, we will discuss which material is right for you. |
• | Tooth Implants: A dental implant is a titanium post that we can insert directly into your jawbone. This post, once healed, provides a strong base for the placement of a dental crown when the natural tooth is entirely missing. We use implants to replace a missing tooth or to serve as an anchor to retain a bridge or denture, permanently holding them in place. |
• | Dental Bridges: A dental bridge replaces a single or multiple teeth. We use two healthy teeth or dental implants to serve as anchors to then attach a bridge of false teeth between. |
• | Inlays and Onlays: Similar to a dental crown, an inlay or an onlay is a portion of a cap to place over a large damaged area on a tooth. This will provide a shield for the tooth to protect an area that has been weakened. |
• | Dentures: Dentures are a dental device that replaces all of your teeth in a single arch when there are no healthy teeth remaining. There are various materials and options available that can add to your feel and function. |
